Experiment: Playing with Prisma

A bit of a tangent for the course, but I’ve recently been playing with an app called Prisma. Its a photo-processing app that “turns your photos into Art.” I’ve mainly considered these to be a bit naff in the past, but this one can actually produce some interesting results. Not exactly drawing, but at least interesting….

When I found it I was actually looking for a way to remove detail from images. When planning sculpture I often start with another image and need to simplify it in order to plan the sculpture. I can start with a sketch, and thought this might allow me to consider the potential of an image before putting too much work into it.
